As well as local casework and national campaigning, AdvoCATS is keen to spread the message of what we can do, what the law is now, what it’s likely to be and general points to note, so we were delighted to be invited along to RSPCA Derby to give a training session to some of the centre staff. The biggest surprise – and one we come across often – is that owning your own home doesn’t necessarily mean you can keep a pet: if the property is leasehold, and there’s what’s called a Head Lease that states no pets in place, then as the law currently stands, you can’t have pets.
If you’d like to book an AdvoCATS training session, get in touch using the Contact Us function on this website.
