Battersea Dogs & Cats Home have been hugely supportive of AdvoCATS in both our local work and the national campaigning side of things, so we were thrilled to be able to accept their very kind invitation to join them at their first post-lockdown Parliamentary Reception in the Churchill Room at the House of Commons. The event saw the first time that dogs have actually been allowed inside at Westminster, having previously been confined to outdoor events. Those who attended were beautifully behaved (so were the dogs, LOL!), and a little chunky pug called Pancake nearly got smuggled out and brought back up to AdvoCATS HQ!! We rubbed shoulders with various MPs including Leyla Moran (one of our endorsers) as well as meeting DEFRA Minister Lord Zak Goldsmith and even Sir Ian Duncan Smith!
